Our verdict: OrcaSlicer is the most flexible free slicer for people who own different printer brands. Built-in calibration tests and fine seam and wall controls help tune print quality. The number of settings can overwhelm beginners.
About OrcaSlicer
OrcaSlicer started as a fork of Bambu Studio by SoftFever and is now developed by a large community under the AGPLv3. It ships profiles for printers from Bambu Lab, Prusa, Voron, Creality, RatRig and many other brands, and can send jobs to Klipper, OctoPrint and Bambu printers.
Its calibration menu prints test models for flow rate, pressure advance, temperature and retraction, so you can tune each filament without external tools. Advanced options include precise wall and seam control, sandwich mode, polyholes, mouse ear brims, adaptive bed mesh, belt printer support and IDEX parallel printing.
