Our verdict: Internxt combines end-to-end encryption, post-quantum algorithms and open-source apps, and its Windows client shows your cloud files in File Explorer. The free plan is only a sampler: 1 GB in total and 100 MB per file. Backups and the antivirus come with paid plans.
About Internxt
Internxt is a cloud storage service from Spain. Files are encrypted on your device with zero-knowledge AES-256 encryption plus post-quantum Kyber-512 before upload, so Internxt cannot read them, and they are stored in EU data centers. The Windows app shows Internxt Drive as a folder in File Explorer, encrypts and syncs files you drop in, and keeps them available offline through a local cache. The desktop app's source code is public on GitHub under the MIT license.
The free plan gives 1 GB of storage for as long as the account exists, with no card and no email verification at sign-up. Free accounts can upload files of up to 100 MB each and also get the free version of the Internxt VPN. Paid annual and lifetime plans add from 1 TB of space, larger files, password-protected sharing, backups and an antivirus.
