About dupeGuru
dupeGuru scans folders by filename or by content. The filename scan uses a fuzzy matching algorithm that also finds names that are similar rather than identical. A Music mode compares tags and shows music details in the results, and a Picture mode finds images that look alike even if they are not exactly the same.
It is designed with safety in mind: reference folders and grouping prevent you from deleting the copy you wanted to keep. Duplicates can be deleted, moved or copied elsewhere, and results can be filtered and sorted to weed out false matches. The Windows version is written in Python with a Qt interface.
